Disillusionment is a deceptively useful tool, especially early in Hogwarts Legacy, where it can make leveling up the player character significantly easier. Given numerous options of how to upgrade a character, leaning into the stealth upgrades can make the character an effectively stealthy fighter, capable of avoiding the chaos of combat by simply making it past enemies or contending with them one-by-one. It's also a spell that's worth upgrading once the Talents mechanic has been unlocked by progressing the story. It's also a potential means of escaping conflict if a battle takes a bad turn, allowing players to get away from danger. Utilizing a stealthy approach to the beginning of fights when able can reduce the number of enemies on hand in any struggle, even allowing players to wipe out entire encampments of dark wizards or goblins before they realize what's happening. Moving into stealth mode and quietly closing the distance between themselves and enemies, players will be able to deploy a Petrificus Totalus - which petrifies enemies and more or less defeats them in one shot. Thanks to this, you will significantly speed up the learning process, and your icon will gain speed. Disillusionment is also a useful means of beginning combat encounters on the right foot. To use a spell, you must first follow the pattern with the cursor or analog, then press the appropriate button when the blue indicator appears on it.
